Only for us Lazies.

J-rod spoils me. When it comes to birthdays, forget it. I think we have celebrated maybe two out of the five birthdays I’ve had since we have been together. But he loves to buy me presents for no apparent reason... and, hey I’ll take it... er them.

Well, last Friday was our ‘Anniversary’. I know, I know, you are asking, “What?! I thought you were married in December!!” (even though I’m sure none of you really remembered that, I still hear you asking.) Yes, we were married in December. The 20th for that matter, but J-rod proposed on Halloween. This year he decided to ‘celebrate’ that fact with a little dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant Signor Iguanas, and a gift from ‘Bed Bath and Beyond’. This is my new treasure.

It is a hot cocoa maker. All you do is add water or milk, and your cocoa mix, and viola!! It heats and mixes it for you. About 6 minutes later you have steaming hot chocolate. One of the best features is that if you leave the appliance on, it keeps the drink hot and stired in the dispenser. There is even a “froth” button so that you can have a nice layer of foam at the top.

He got this on Friday, but I didn’t break it out until yesterday after church. And we were all consequently sick after indulging ourselves in more than one cup.

I love it.

Sinor Iguana's mmmmmmm. My sister-in-law has the same hot chocolate maker and LOVES it. She says it's a necessity for every kitchen.

Happy Anniversary! That sounds so delicious. Can you use it to make smoothies too? Or is it just for hot drinks? Now, I'm cold & thirsty......I better go heat up the microwave.

M, I would have to concur. It is a necessity, I see that now.

A, I’m glad you can leave comments too. Curse blogger, and their tricksy hobbits. It is BACK TO BASICS Cocoa ~ Latte Hot drink mixer. I got it at BED BATH AND BEYOND. But when I was on the web looking for a picture of it, I saw they sell it on the QVC website, and on Amazon.com If I remember correctly QVC’s price was cheaper.

Em, thanks! Any excuse for presents right? It is just like those smoothie makers. The company even makes some, but this particular one is only for hot drinks. It has all sorts of recipes that come with it too!! Mmm, it is good.

I had no idea these things even existed. And all this time I've been boiling my water on the stove and mixing my cocoa with a spoon.

Mary, tisk tisk. How primitive.

Man, I WANT ONE TOO!!! Sorry, I hoped if I yelled it loudly enough Cameron would hear me. Since it's still in the 70's here during the day, I don't really NEED one, but that is a handy gadget. Happy er anniversary!
