I think she’s a girl!

One of my clients said, (before we had Belle) “You need to have a girl. It would be such a waist if you didn’t.” I had always felt this way too. I couldn’t wait to have a girl of my own to dress up, and do her hair. My own Barbie ;)

Well, for the last two years it has been just as I would hope. She lets me do her hair every morning, and she keeps the bows and clips in her hair (most of the time). For her birthday, Belle acquired a few more necklaces and bracelets, and she has seemed to have a renewed desire for the feminine, constantly putting on her tutu that I made for her, and new accessories.

The other day I told Belle it was time to go to the store, and then she disappeared. When I found her she was dressed like this...
Note: she has two purses Pictures like these make a “mom of a girl” very proud. Now if I could only get her to stop stripping all her dolls.

I think stripping the dolls is part of being a girl. Belle and K are so similar. I will tell K "We're going to the store.", to which she will run out of the room yelling, "ma bead, ma puse, ma yip stick!". It is so cute, but I sometimes wonder where she gets it. I don't think I have ever run around yelling, my bead, my lipstick!
By the way, I LOVE the way Belle hams it up for the camera.

Too cute! :) Both my girls are more "girl" than I EVER was! What do I do with their hair?!? :)

You just reminded me that I wanted to name my daughter Belle. Shoot, it's too late now, I can't believe I forgot. Ever since I saw Beauty and the Beast it has been my dream, oh well.
Thanks for the lovely comment, I love your blog too.
